This is my second cordless Panasonic iron. Mom took my first one after ten years it still worked like new, so I had to replace it. I will never iron with a cord again! It glides easy, gets hot fast has all the steam I want, sits in its own holder, that I can put on the table or chair next to my ironing board. It's just the best one! It's the ONLY one as far as I'm concerned. I did try to get mom a cheaper one, but it arked, sparked and leaked water. That's how she got mine, so I had to order another Panasonic. Shouldn't have went cheap. You get what you pay for and here, you get a great iron!
This was purchased for my mother to replace an old (yard sale) Orrick cordless.
Having grown accustomed to the absolute ease of cordless, she needed a new one and I chose this Panasonic NI-L70SR for her. First she thought it was too complicated, and maybe too heavy. Now she is delighted with it. So many features she never had before. She loves it! I'm thinking of buying myself one also!
I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday. He's a chef and needs to iron his THICK and HEAVY chef coats. It works GREAT! He loves it. The detachable water container makes it easy to fill. It doesnt take too long to heat up. We BOTH LOVE the heat proof case that comes with it (for organization purposes), and I personally love the retracktable cord. He uses starch on his coats but the great thing about this iron, its very EASY to clean the iron part. It was a great price and I would do it all over again! I bought it in January and hes been using it for the full 5 months now.
My Rowenta professional finally died after 9 years. I did a lot of research for my next iron and decided on this one. Was fearful about some of the cons listed on others reviews plus my husband's skeptism on a cordless iron retaining heat etc. I must say after a few months of usage, I am very very pleased with this iron. I iron in my laundry room and keep the base on my washer. Very handy to iron without the cord. Putting the iron back in the base correctly is effortless, I never have to fumble with it. It's as simple as standing a corded iron up to move fabric, this is simply back in the base. Great for storage. Holds heat very well. Easy to fill with water, I only wish the resevoir held more water. Otherwise wonderful iron.
I bought this iron to replace a 2 year old Black and Decker whose cord became wobbly and therefore, wouldn't heat anymore. Cordless is the way to go, people! It heats up quickly, isn't too heavy and the steam works perfectly. No big deal to remember to put the iron on the soleplate while rearranging the garment either. And the retractable cord and case are wonderful - keeps everything neat and tidy for storage. Love it!
