4 years & still going strong! (5.0)
It is simply AWESOME! Goes together quickly & easily. It looks so beautiful that people do a double take thinking it's real. On a side note, once you have put it together & connected the plugs successfully I would highly suggest some sort of color coding system for the male & female matching plugs. I used small multi colored zip ties (red for the plug at the top, yellow for the next pair & so on). This allowed me take the tree from the box & have it completely set up & lit in less than 10 minutes.
Beautiful when lit (5.0)
The constant on lights are a great plus. I bought a pre-lit tree from another company, not a Santa's Best, and it didn't last the season and I had to replace it. This is a well constructed tree with lights that work. If you want a pre-lit tree for multiple seasons be sure it has the constant on lights. Some are listed as just pre-lit and cost less but don't last.
small artificial pre-lit xmas tree (5.0)
An adorable small tree, pre-lit. I just used a few of my small ornaments and it was done. I just wanted something small and this was just perfect.
Very nice tree and good seller. (5.0)
For some reason Amazon system couldn't recognize my address for this purchase and I called the company selling this tree directly. First of all they were very nice and helpful, also they shipped the item Fedex very next day. I also got this tree for $19.99 as they could find it that price in different warehouse. Also the lady asked me if I won't clear or multicolor lights. i chosen clear lights and they look great. The whole tree is not that big (80 cm or 31.5" total), but for me it's perfect size to keep it on the side table. Also it is fluffy enough and has some pine cones. The bucket is empty but I will put some decorative filling. So overall great quality and experience, and I would buy it again.
Looks ok (4.0)
The product looks good. I bought after xmas was over and got a good price.
Excellent value (5.0)
I could not have been more pleased. Think of it, an artificial tree made to look like a potted living tree. It was exactly what I was hoping to find. Looks great in daylight in addition to the lights at night.
Beautiful Life-Like Tree (5.0)
Don't let the one star review fool you--this little tree is very pretty! My husband and I both got one from the office. It has a very natural look and is nicely bottom-weighted so it does not fall down continually like other table top trees. It is a table top size (2.5 feet) so not a great choice for your main christmas tree but for an office or a bedroom it is perfect! We are buying a third one this year.
Christmas Tree (3.0)
Tree is what I expected with the exception of the lights. I didn't want the colored lights so I took them off. Would need to do this anyway as half did not work. Removing the lights is very difficult. They had two sets completely intertwined and made it very difficult to remove. Otherwise, tree is nice.
My Easter tree turned out great! (5.0)
I use this tree as an Easter Tree with egg & bunny decorations. It looks great! The lighter shade of colored lights complement my decorations well. My 2 year old really enjoyed decorating this tree!
Surprisingly good quality (5.0)
I was looking for a small, white Christmas tree and couldn't find anything locally. I was reluctant to order something like this unseen because it is easy to make even the sparsest of trees look nice for a photo. But I took a chance and was very pleasantly surprised. The tree is very dense, not flimsy at all, and looks great - far nicer than similar sized trees that I have seen at stores such as Target.
little xmas tree (5.0)
great size for a table christmas tree-- its not tiny like many others-- it has presence and looks great-- lights look a little pinkish though, because the red of the lights and white of the tree take over and make pink, i guess-- but overall i got many compliments
love the little tree (5.0)
very nice little tree for the money. lights are pastelish (not the traditional red/green/gold) and perfect for the new trend in colors for christmas. we decorated it for a baby girl shower but intend to use for christmas next year with the new bright green/purple/teal/pink type decorations. came out of the box easy all put together, just needed a tad bit of shaping. went back in the box easily, too. shipping time was great too. really happy with it. BUT when they said 3 feet that is the total height, not just the tree.
great tree very full (5.0)
This tree looks great purchased a GE tree from home depot whe I got it home it was not very full, not many tips compared to this tree. I ordered this one online from Amazon, got it put it up, everyone who came over thought it was real. Great tree.
Remember to spend time arranging the branches (5.0)
This is our second artificial Christmas tree. Our first was a Puleo that we bought many years ago. Lately when shopping for trees, the trees that we found did not look as natural as the one we had. Unfortunately after many years of packing and unpacking, parts of the Puleo tree broke and we could not find replacements or a vendor selling another tree. So we turned to Amazon in our search. We soon learned that one of the important criteria was "tip count" - how many tips the tree had. More tips would equate to a denser and more natural appearance. The GKI Bethlehem tree came out tops at over 4,000 tips. My initial reaction when we received the tree and started unpacking it was of disappointment. Whereas our previous tree had a bark-like appearance for the central stem, this one was simply green-painted metal. Also, when we erected it, it initially appeared as if it was not very dense. However, I soon realized that the twigs were tightly compressed from the packaging. One has to spend a considerable amount of time to separate the various tios from one another and to spread them out in a natural-looking manner. Once this is done, this tree looks lovely, dense and very natural. There are two types of tips, some are plastic and some are wire. The ones at the end of the branches are plastic and give an appearance of newer growth, whereas the wire tips bulk up very nicely and can be bent easily to fill any holes op openings. Look out for secondary and tertiary branches on the lower limbs and pry them away from the main branches. This really bulks out the tree and if you position some higher and some lower than the main branches, they serve to break the artificial-looking appearance of cheaper trees that appear to have all branches on concentric rings. THe video that comes with the product does not go much into arranging the branches, but I have found that this is the most time-consuming, but eventually rewarding effort if you want a tree that has a very natural-looking appearance. You cannot order a tree with more than 4,000 tips and expect them to spring into position all by themselves! Now the only thing I'm missing is our colored lights flashing in merry patterns!
great product (5.0)
Received e-mail from Amazon indicating reduced price but when purchased the normal price was inserted. The tree is excellent but Amazon was very deceptive in their advertising. I am completely happy with tree but after many purchases from Amazon I have now lost confidence in their advertising.
Pre-lit Christmas tree (5.0)
I just received and put up the 7 1/2 foot tree. I ordered it on December tenth and wasn't expecting shipment before the twenty-first. I was very happily surprised when it was delivered on the seventeenth. It comes in three sections with a stand. Included is a DVD which really isn't needed to set up the tree. Caution-the sections are heavy, especially the middle one. I had to ask someone help me to lift it onto the stand. It is very pretty and doesn't need many decorations. It has lovely pinecones on it. It is quite dense. If you play around with the branches you can make it look fuller. Mine is in front of the window and you can barely see through it. If you want a shorter tree you can leave off the bottom section and just use the middle and top. I am very pleased with this tree.
stunning tree, if you have the patience to set it up (5.0)
After looking at many different trees in person, we purchased the 9-foot GKI Bethlehem Hunter tree (multi-color) as our first artificial tree after many years of real Frasier Firs. We couldn't be happier. With enough patience setting it up and properly arranging the branches, you can't get a more natural-looking tree. On the 9-foot tree, there are 6935 tips of two styles, with the very end tips on each branch being molded plastic forms from real trees. The remaining (bulk) of the tips are the more traditional artificial tree style. GKI-Bethlehem includes a tutorial DVD, along with a wireless bulb tester that helps locate broken circuits if a bulb burns out improperly (generally, if a bulb burns out, the rest remain lit). And there are plenty of spare replacement bulbs. The 9-foot tree comes in 3 pre-wired sections that fit together creating two separate power plugs for the tree. With each section, the branches are hinged at the center, and fan out. You'll need to adjust tips on each branch, and this takes quite a bit of time to get best results. I'll admit I'm a perfectionist, and this was also our first artificial tree. But it took me about 8 hours to properly arrange the tips in a 3-dimensional form, and bend the branches to create an evenly-spaced tree that appears to gradually flair up toward the light at the very top of the tree. Arranging properly definitely is more of an art - what I found with some experimentation is that you're best arranging the rear tips in a 3-dimensional form instead of just one direction. Start at the bottom, and move your way up. And, with each added section, you'll need to go back and arrange/bend branches to even the spacing and overall look. In the end, we are extremely pleased with the finished tree. I've uploaded a picture of it. Is this tree perfect? Not entirely. There were a handful of the molded tips that were not properly attached. I ended up using spare decorator's wire to attach them properly. But considering the number of tips, this was only 2 or 3 branches. Not bad. For the value, especially the outstanding Amazon price, I don't think you'll find a better artificial tree.
I wish I could write a review for the "Santa's Best" company... (1.0)
I purchased a similar product to this one--a GE 6.5 ft pre-lit Just Cut Grand Spruce Christmas tree--in November of 2008. The tree comes with a 3 year limited lights warranty and a 5 year tree warranty. This tree only has the GE name on it, but is manufactured in China and backed by Santa's Best Craft. I purchased the tree for $198 at Lowe's, hoping to get about 5 years or so of use out of it at that price, seeing as it is only out of the box for a month and a half a year. After only a year of ownership (two seasons set up and out of the box) one of the branches of the middle section snapped while we were taking it down to put away. I do not have kids and my husband and I do not swing from our Christmas tree like monkeys! Santa's Best Craft is currently refusing to honor the 5 year tree warranty and making me jump through countles hoops just to get a replacement. They cannot replace the branch and can replace the section. When I first called, I had to escalate to management just to get my concerns heard. The manager I spoke with said she put in the order for a replacement section as we were talking. Seemed oh so simple. 5 hours later, she called back and said they couldn't place the replacement order until they confirmed that the broken branch was a manufacturer's defect (see above about monkey swinging on trees.) So, I had to go scrounging around local businesses to find a box large enough to ship back the largest section of the tree, but they did provide a UPS pre-paid return label for my troubles--whoopdie doo. So now, they have the middle section of my tree and I am forced to wait 3-4 weeks while they examine it to determine if it truly was a manufacturer's defect (sure, we just go around breaking trees purposefully just so we can deal with crappy customer service people) and then I will have to wait 6-8 more weeks for my replacement piece IF it is granted a manufacturer's defect. REALLY???!!! I must say, this tree WAS very nice. We were pleased with the lights, everything worked well and it is a great size for our home--very full looking, perfect height from the floor to fit gifts under, etc. I will NEVER buy a GE Christmas Tree again based solely on the TERRIBLE customer service this Santa's Best Craft company provided. As a side note, Santa's Best Craft (whom GE has no problem coupling their name with apparently) is not even accredited by the BBB and gets an "F" rating on the BBB website--most of the complaints--you guessed it, warranty issues. Don't buy a GE Christmas Tree if you expect a product that is worth the price--I think I'm going to look for a $20 tree that is crappy because at least I won't be shocked when I have to throw it out after a year.
Do Not Buy a GE Pre-Lit Tree! (1.0)
I bought a GE Just-Cut Pre lit tree this Christmas and was very excited about it. After four days of use, half of one section of lights stopped working. I went through all of the troubleshooting steps and the lights still do not work. When I called GE they told me that I could not return the tree and that they would send me a string of lights for my tree. The idea behind a pre-lit tree is that the lights are already on it, and the reason I bought the tree to begin with was so that I would not have to string lights on a tree in the future. Now, GE has decided that this is my only option. I invested $300 in something that I thought would last a long time and it lasted four days. GE obviously does not stand by their products. This will be the last GE product I ever buy.
