Holds very little charge (1.0)

I finally used this battery several months after I received it. Except for a brief period in my laptop when I checked it's charge level, the battery stayed in it's packaging until I fully charged it before a trip overseas. It wasn't until I was in the airport that I found out that the battery only held 30 minutes worth of charge on my Latitude D830, even with all power-saving options used and my screen so dark I could barely see it. Subsequent rechargings did nothing to improve this battery's performance. In other words: garbage.

This battery is truly a money saver! I have a Dell Latitude D820 laptop that is approaching 3 years of age. After I had the computer for a year, the battery died completely and I had to purchase a new one. I ignorantly went straight to Dell's website for a replacement and paid the ridiculous amount for a new battery. Well, after another year went by, the same thing happened again! This time, I thought I would try Amazon in hope of getting a good deal. Did I ever! I purchased this battery for half the price of the Dell version with the though that at that price, it was worth a shot. I have had the battery for about 2 months now and it has worked perfectly! It fits nice and snug into my computer and allows me to work up to 3 hours before dying. Granted, I am only two months in, but at this price, I have absolutely no complaints!

I purchased the replacement Dell battery for my bosses laptop. We received it and when he went to install it we noticed the wrist rest was warped which would not allow it to seat in the holder correctly so it moves back and forth easily. I read the insert on how to send it back, so I emailed them a week ago for an RMA number so I could return it for a replacement. I have now sent the email 3 times with no response. I hope I can get this resolved, but I will never purchase from them again. Buyer beware!!!

same problems with AGPTEK (2.0)

There does not seem to be a good alternative to buying a new battery from Dell. While their batteries cost about $200 (shipping included), at least Dell batteries perform up to their specification...for a year...before they go dead. If I had known this about Dell beforehand, I might not have been so quick to buy a laptop from them.

I ordered an AGPTEK battery from Brilliant Store, hoping to save >$100 on a 9 cell 'Dell clone' battery, but I was disappointed. The battery meter was nonfunctional, and worse the battery would not charge past %50 capacity. The battery did seem to work otherwise, however, but I assumed I was sent a used battery.

While I did have to pay $6-8 for return shipping, which was not reimbursed to me (which, to be fair, is plainly stated in their returns policy), the shipment and return refund were both processed equally rapid, so I have no complaints about Brilliant Store in any other regard.

I was not impressed with the battery I ordered however, but I guess one gets that for which one pays...nothing more, unfortunately, but nothing less.

This battery quit within 30 days of using it. The seller would not return our email to him and we have spent money for nothing. Now we have to start all over and go buy a real battery from dell.

Worked-but didn't last the year (3.0)

Purchased the battery in Nov 2008 and it worked as advertised for between 6 and 7 months. At that point it quickly lost the ability to hold a charge. It still works in that my laptop can run for about 15 minutes on the battery, however the battery has bottomed out and only accepts ~20% of the capacity it had when new.

My experience with original Dell batteries is that they last about 18 months, however the cost is much higher.

Worked for 6 weeks and then died. The product description says one year warranty but Amazon does not accept returns after 30 days, and there is no manufacturer information on the battery so it look like a total rip for me.

Solid D820 Replacement (5.0)

It fit in my wife's D820 just fine. Took a charge and holds it. Far cheaper than the official Dell replacement.

The batteries in general for this model seem rather horrid, if this lasts a year I'll be happy.

Died after 3 months (1.0)

This replacement battery for a Dell D820 Lattitude lasted 3 months before the charge wouldn't last more than an hour. The original battery would run for 3.5-4 hours on a charge, and lasted for over a year. Now at 5 months on this battery, the computer tells me that my battery is "reaching the end of its useful life".

VERY satisfied with this battery (5.0)

I was leery of purchasing on off-brand battery. After dozens of Amazon purchases, this is the first review that I have ever left. I felt compelled to let potential buyers know that this is a great product. I am using the battery on a Latitude D830 running wifi (bluetooth is off) and I get 3 solid hours - 2.5 on a heavy cpu load. I run firefox, outlook, and photoshop simultaneously. As far as the battery being loose, I have experienced none of that. It fits in my D830 nice and snug.

Great product, well worth the money - especially considering it is half the price of other D830 batteries on the market!

Bought for my son. Delivery was prompt and he is happy with the battery. Price is the best that I could find anywhere. Would buy from these guys again if I needed another battery.

Lasted a year (2.0)

I bought a Lenmar LBD0393 for my Dell D820, started off great. Lasted about one year to date then completly died. Back then it cost $59 so not bad for a year of use but still should be better.

Stop working after six months! (1.0)

Do not buy this product.It is a waste of your money. After only four months it went dead, suddenly. Two weeks went by, and then started taking charge again, but at just half the previous capacity. Every few days it would drop the charging capacity for a few percentage points. Around two an half months later it stoped taking charge, and has not ever since. So total useful life was less than seven months, inlcuding the months that it worked only at reduced capacity. Shame on the vendor!

Battery went dead within 5 months (1.0)

This batery went dead within 5 months. It progressively got worse and now the replace battery message is displayed within 20 minutes. Amazon's return policy is only 30 days even though I think this battery is defective. There does not appear to be any recourse with the manufacturer. This certainly makes me think twice about ordering other products on line with Amazon.

Not worth it (2.0)

I bought 2 of these as replacements for our Dell batteries for myself and my husband. Both of them lasted about 6-7 months. I was careful to do the initial charge as well as periodic battery discharge (not a complete discharge)so expected it to last a lot longer. The price was good compared to Dell but not the quality. I wouldn't buy this again and have since replaced it with one made by Duracell, I hope it lasts longer.

Only 2 1/2 months old and wont hold a charge (1.0)

Purchased this battery less than 3 months ago and already it barely holds a charge. I can run off battery power for only about one hour now. Not acceptable for a Hi-Capacity/Extended Capacity in my opinion.
